NSF invests in Prof. Rich Wolski's Cyberinfrastructure Inst.
Wolski to serve as a Co-PI for the project, overseeing research specifically focused on automated cloud and HPC infrastructure for data management
Under Wolski's direction, UCSB personnel will be responsible, primarily, for two broad functions within the project – development & deployment of cloud-based prototype data management services and prototyping & management of alerting services designed to coordinate separate viewing events triggered by astronomical observations
